Esteemed Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has scored Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. The four reviewers gave it a 9, 9, 8 and a 9. Certainly an impressive set of numbers! Final Fantasy fans can sleep easier at night, knowing that this spin-off game isn't as disastrous as Dirge of Cerberus (which scored a low 28/40 from Famitsu). It ain't Final Fantasy XII, but we're still glad the game got reviewed as well as it did.

I'm sure It's going to be an amazing game, but I don't quite trust famitsu for ratings. Gundam: Crossfire received a similar score (32 points, 8/8/8/8). I think that it may be better received here, since it isn't a turn based game, and the Japanese like their turns.

That's a pretty nice score. Considering the low amount of perfect scores they give out, this is pretty close, especially seeing that three of the individuals gave it a 9.
Sure it's a Japanese audience that favors RPGs more than other genres but I favor RPGs to other genres too.
Plus everything I've seen about this game make me love it.

Let's have fun with phon....uh, I mean...Mathematics children! What's 35/40? You can use your calculator if you want...
Well did you get it?
You sure??
Ok here's the answer.......
ARE YOU LYING TO ME?!?!
............haha just kidding!
The answer is......87.5!
And seeing how Famitsu is considered one of the toughest, most critical, and appreciated reviewers around, that score is looking damn fine.
