After weeks of perpetual delay, Tomb Raider Anniversary is finally out for PSP. Eidos was strangely suspicious about the PSP version, refusing to release video of the handheld edition. Thankfully, it appears that the PSP version looks a lot like the PS2 version. Check out this new video from PSP GadgetZ to see for yourself.
With the game readily available, we want to know what you think about the game. Certainly, this game doesn't deserve to go without notice, does it?

Easily the best platformer on the PSP thus far, even with the two Prince of Persia games on the system and a few other notable exclusive (Tokobot, LocoRoco, etc.). True, it is a port, but it looks and feels just like the PC version, aside from obvious view distance limitations at points. The only flaws I could see are the occasional framerate lag and slight camera issues, but other than that it's nothing short of phenomenal.

Are the controls better than the last PSP Tomb Raider game?

It's cuz no one even knew that the game came out. That's what happens when you delay a game over and over again, and refuse to show media of it.

PR like this sure isn't helping PSP software sales.
Hopefully, the PSPSL will provide the shot in the arm the platform needs to stave off bailing devs. Christmas could really be great, especially in contrast to still-lackluster PS3 sales. Wouldn't it be nice if Sony finally woke up and noticed that the PSP is their best chance to stay in the game?

Tomb Raider Legend was/is unplayable due to its horrid framerate.
I'd be interested/excited about Anniversary if this wasn't the case.
I wish they would/could fix it or give me my money back.

I was constantly checking for release dates to get this game, and now that i got it I must say: its quite an improvement over Legends. Controls are comfortable and graphics are sharp... I'm really glad they took some extra time to polish this PSP version!
Lara fans should definetely get it.

I picked up this game last weekend, and I must say I am surprised. I haven't played "Legends" because of all the troubles I have read about. But this game plays great. I haven't noticed any framerate issues and the controls feel fine. The camera is a little annoying at times, but not a problem. The graphics are cool. I liked this game immediately from the start.

Oh, the one thing I do not like about the game is the checkpoints for saving. I'd much rather just be able to save in-game and come back to that point later.

I already played through the PS2 version... so there's not much reason to pick this up as well. Too bad it didn't come out the same day.

I picked it up today, it's truly amazing. They really pushed the graphics for the psp. Also, I don't notice ANY leg at all. It makes me want to burn my prince of Persia games. It's perfect :]
