However, we're puzzled -- according to the localization director at Namco Bandai, "there isn't really a story" in the game. Beyond the fighting, there isn't much else to do, although he noted that there's Naruto's Room --a place where collectible images and videos can be viewed.
Supposed "technical limitations" prevented the game from getting Infrastructure multiplayer, something that we would've loved to see in the game. However, the Game Sharing feature seems to be fairly advanced, giving players with access to the game "as normal."
We're a little disappointed to see the game doesn't have a fleshed out story, as the original PS2 series. Hopefully, the gameplay will make that point irrelevant. For now, enjoy the new screenshots we've secured in our updated gallery below:

It's already been a while since the Naruto characters have grown up (a bit), in Japan. Maybe that's why it's not being released there.

Wait, why isn't there a story mode? In the japanese version of this same game, there's a 100 floor castle mode and a 50 floor extra castle mode, each with their own complete storyline. Why has that been removed?

lol look i just finish playing it and yess there is story mode but it has n relevence to the anime...lol its like a natuo movie... has a story yet nothing to do with the show... but then again the animes kinda old

Why can't they put more effort into these games.
I was looking to get Ultimate Ninja 2, and judging from the videos I've seen of it, it looks just like every other Naruto fighting game.

Yeah, I've played the Japanese game, and it does have a story mode. The US game kinda looks like they removed the story mode and called it a new game.
Not that the story was that great... well, from what I could tell with my pathetic Japanese skills. :P
Also what, does Wikipedia lie or does the English game not have Kabuto?! WHAT, WHYYY?!
