See everything the PSP can do in this new stop-motion animated short film, called "Come to Life." It's a visually fascinating piece that really makes the PSP seem as cool as it is.

This was a great clip. A lot better than the dustball commercials.

Really nice clip. It'd be cool to see this ad on TV.
As Gabe said, it sure as hell beats those dustball commercials.

Dustballs were at least better then that stupid "Dude, get your own" campaign they're running now.

I liked the commercials with the one guy that goes looking for the girl. It shows all the things the psp can do and is entertaining.
They need commercials like those to promote the PS3. Crying babies do not sell 600 dollar multi purpose systems. IMO it's what contributed to PS3 poor sales the most. I forgot where but the PS3 is selling a lot just as a blu ray player alone.
Make a commercial to inform the public of what it's capable of.

So what exactly can the PSP and PS3 do together other than share multi-colored dots on the floor... anyone have a good link?

I liked that video it actually made sense over the dustball commercials but I actaully enjoyed the dustball clips. They gave me a good laugh every time I watched one of them and I'm pretty sure you cracked a smile when you watched one too. So ease up just a little bit. I am not argueing the point that it sold systems or not but it was at least entertaining.

Nope. If anything they made me want to cry tears of blood and rip my ear drums out through my nose. This video though, was pretty damn awesome. What's the source? Looks like official marketing material, but why aren't we seeing commercials of this caliber this on TV?

For some reason I think this ad might be European in origin. Anyway, I declare: THE. BEST. AD. EVER. MADE.

This ... is amazing. I hope this is the new PSP campaign, because it makes the PSP look like an entertainment device, and a good one. Sure kicks the iPhone's ass, too. ;) This is your e-mail, this is the web, this is a call, and this is a $170 portable gaming device that's better than an iPhone.
PS. is the BG music an artist? I would surely appreciate a full MP3 or CD.

I think it's a great commercial, they would just need to trim the fat and get to the points sooner.
The music part went on way too long as did the PS3 - PSP connectivity. The movie part was great and to the point but I don't think it helps to have the game animation showing Pong to illustrate multi-player, makes the system seem underpowered.
And the whole opening / exit animation was just excessive.
Sony should use this.
But for the record, those "Dude, Get Your Own" spots I thought were (mostly) funny.

Overall, an impressive short. Cuts from this would definitely make for some interesting and better commercials, absolutely.
@ James Rose: It was introduced in firmware 3.00. When you play a song, hit Square and navigate left and right on the D-pad to choose a visualizer. Alternatively, hit Triangle and select the "Visual Player" icon.
@ Jay: I managed to encode a 480x272 video of this from the flash embed and it looks great (don't know if I can host it someplace and link to it here, though - maybe I can send it to PSP Fanboy?), and I agree that it should show up in a PSPFB Theater post next time 'round.
