Europe continues its love affair with the PSP. The new PSP Slim & Light will be available for €169 "at the beginning of September." The goal is to have the system available before the Japanese launch, September 20th.
For those of you hankering for the redesigned PSP early, you'll want to have a European friend to get one for you. [Update: The launch is now confirmed for September 6th. Very early, no?]

I really want to get one of these psp's...most likely the white one. I wish America could just speed things up and release the PSP early. I currently own the original psp but i just love sony and i have to always have all their updated products. Hopefully the video output will work good and the other characteristics of the PSP are as good as what i am thinking. I also wish America could come out with the blue purple and pink psp's.

I'm hoping to import one because I may be moving at the end of August.
I'm just a little afraid to because of the whole Sony and Lik-Sang affair...but i'll figure something out!

Isn't the North America launch still set for September 10th? I could have sworn that was the date for the Daxter pack, if not the core system.

Those colours - apart from the black and silver - are simply awful.
The Ltd Ed pink was great, mostly for the ladies and some EMO guys....;O) because it was a bold, striking tint; these are just insipid.

but what will the UK price be? €169 is about £113 do we think it will just be around the £150 - £160 price mark?

@ PSP2ME
It'll be the same price as the present PSP Core pack, £130. Although no game bundles have been announced officially; if they are I'm guessing they'll be about £160.

The european PSP will play Japanese UMD movies because they're the same region (region 2), but it won't play US UMD movies because they're region 1.
