hmm, looks like it trimmed a bit of fat on each side (left and right), but wouldn't that make your hands hurt even more after 2 hours of GoW? (or for me, 10 hours of Crisis Core) ;)

I like the fact they put 1GB in, the old 32mb stick is an insult. Daxter is great and all, I still wished they put Rachet & Clank there instead, that's a much better game.

Still, not bad, Still wish they sell this at 169 and lower the old PSP to 129, so that will go directly against DS.

Good day for Sony, I'm glad they didn't just give PSP a skin/colour like some other companies did with their consoles. ;)

This is by far the worst boxart for a playstation hardware product I've ever seen.
BTW, the PSP on the box doesn't look like the actual PSP redesign. The shape is much rounder and the buttons are huge compared to the system's size.

Well, they've removed the IR port on the PSP, not surprising, since surprisingly, there was never an official use for it on the PSP, only homebrew used it for cool things like a TV remote, but that sucks, I did want to use it as a TV remote. Sucks they had to remove it. : (

I wonder how much better the battery life will be and if the old batteries will work for it and such?

Ummm... I'm pretty sure that they said at the press conference thingy that the Daxter Pack was going to be $199 AND the Stars Wars pack was also going to be $199. I don't know about the core, but I heard somewhere it's gonna be $170.

Damn, I was pretty excited about hearing this new PSP but now worried. Its thinner because they got rid of the handles on the back but I don't think it'll be comfortable anymore, the new UMD loading mechanism looks cheap and crappy but no biggie. I'll miss the IR port for homebrew.

I want to know if the older batteries will work for it and all that. Have to wait to find out. And what about the speakers, where'd they go, don't tell me their the small black holes on the top sides of the screen!

Absolutely, but will they make their way to the US release? No, and I have no idea why Sony just doesn't get it. BE MORE LIKE MICROSOFT and MILK the FF SERIES.

Is it me or does it look EXACTLY the same? hmmm, somebody go and scale it, 33% lighter should be quite noticable

and I'm obviously not noticing the 19% difference in size.
