While movie goers often look forward to the flood of summer blockbusters, gamers often are forced to deal with a drought of entertainment. Despite this stereotype, PSP does have a flock of impressive titles headed to gamers this summer. So while you spend time at the beach this summer, you may want to bring along your PSP.
Role-playing games are known for their length. It takes many an hour to save the world and look cool while doing it. Which is why the summer time may be the best time for RPGs to be released. That is if you have a summer break. If not, then I apologize for tormenting you with the idea of sunshine free time.
June
Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground
Final Fantasy
July
Riviera: The Promised Land
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology
Final Fantasy II
August
Brave Story: New Traveler
Dungeons & Dragons Tactics
Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl
Dragoneer's Aria
Monster Hunter Freedom 2
What RPGs are our readers going to be slaying this summer? Which of these games would you like PSP Fanboy to write about?

I think without a question. (although a little late), but Sept 12th. a little game called "Crisis Core" will unleash on PSP.
I wonder how that will do to PSP as a console, Will it sell better than Monster Hunter 2 In Japan? Will it boost PSP's sale over DS?
all of them possible.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology and Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I might get Brave Story as well, if it gets some decent reviews.

I think PSP forum should have an game review columnist. It'd be awesome to have someone to review the latest and hottest game. Someone who isn't a HUGE DS fans or constantly bitching about the lack of second analog stick.
Now, I'm will to take that job. You guys should hire me. :),

Well, Andrew does do a good job on reviews, so...
If you guys hired me, I would start a new weekly blog that I think many of the older viewers might appreciate. A section I would call "PSP Fanboy Theatre: ADULT EDITION!"
Giggity giggity goo, Alll riiight.

Isn't Jeanne D'Arc considered more of a strategy game rather than an RPG?

Jeanne D'arc is a strategy rpg and it comes out in september, that's why it's not on the list

Jeanne D'Arc's release date is listed as August 7 on IGN and GameStop. As for being a strategy RPG...it's still an RPG. Isn't Dungeons & Dragons Tactics a strategy RPG as well? It sure plays like one...
As for which ones I'm excited about....D&D Tactics, Brave Story, Tales....maybe Jeanne D'Arc...
I am so over Final Fantasy. How many times can you play the same game? And this time they want you to pay double. I played FF 1&2 again on GBA on one cartridge...

Oh my. Gotta start saving some money then!
I'm looking forward to play Riviera, Tales, D&D, Monster Hunter... and specially Brave Story and Dragoneers Aria, since both are traditional turn-based RPGs. I really miss those.
And I heard Dungeon Maker isn't that cool. Bummer. Hope XSEED still plans on releasing Brave Story, cuz who knows? They may reconsider since their previous PSP titles kinda sucked. They should've picked better games for localization... suck as Kingdom of Paradise 2, Rezel Cross, etc.
