Incredibly wide pictures of God of War

For some reason, new images of God of War: Chains of Olympus have surfaced ... and they're really wide. Not 16:9 wide, nor 21:9 wide. It's so wide that Ben Hur would get jealous. Cinematic? Perhaps. Beautiful? Definitely. Check them out at Play France. While looking through them, make note of Kratos' shield. Hmm ... New gameplay mechanic, perhaps?

The shield can be used as a weapon, cool.

Not sure if I like the idea of having a shield, I like rolling and dodging aspect of GoW on PS2.

I'm think that weird aspect is only used for in-game cinematic?

it probably really is in the game. they are using that as an alternate of the arm gaurd thing from god of war 2 probaly. they said they were findin ways to bring stuff from gow1 and 2 into this one without screwin up the story line.

One thing I can say for certain: I trust those guys at Ready at dawn. After their great job on Daxter, I really expect no less quality from their GOW title.

About that shield, maybe Kratos can use it to attack like the one in Rygar?

The first GoW was rubbish, but I'm thinking the simplistic gameplay might translate well to the PSP. I just hope I get my demo, unlike that Ratchet and Clank one I never saw.

i noticed that psp screenshots make the psp seem as though the psp has bad quality graphics. i noticed this while looking at the screenshots of both God of War and Monster Hunter.
