Rhythm games belong to a genre that has received a lot of attention over the last few years, probably as a result of a little title called Guitar Hero. Eidos hopes to get a piece of the pie with its own Traxxpad, coming to a PSP near you. The game turns your PSP into a portable music studio where you can synthesize and cook your own beats to make your own jamalicious tracks. What's most interesting is the ability to export your killer tunes via mp3, so you can roll down the street and blast your freshly cooked tunes into the eardrums of any nearby bystander. Delish. Take a look.

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm not a musician by any means, but should be fun to play around with. Does it come with the external microphone they were talking about in the trailer? That's a PSP peripheral I've never heard of before.

I wonder if you could use the SOCOM mic with this.
This does look pretty cool but I wouldn't be interested in it very long.

Rhythm ARE their own genre, and they owe nothing to Guitar Hero. They owe almost everything to Konami's Bemani games. Guitar Hero has garnered attention for Guitar Hero and little else.
Sorry for the tirade. Back on topic. This guy is way too old to be wearing his hat like that.

Niiiiice, I'm not usually into music or what I would call 'quirky' games, but the potential of this program along with the mp3 export have definitely caught my eye.

Nice...Looks like it's just trying to stick to mainly hip-hop/rap or whatever. I'm a rocker, but this still looks pretty fun and neat. I want it.

I've been waiting for an app like this for a while. This is more in line with MTV Music Generator for the original Playstation (which I loved dearly). However, you can do alot more with this that with MTVMG. I can't wait for this to come out!

I thought rythym games owed their existence to SIMON. But I'm old.

man, this looks VERY Cool, I'm not expert musician, but I'd check it out.
It'd be cooler if it wasn't introduced by a K-fed wannabe. *sighs*

Interesting. I wonder how this will stack up against Rockstar's Beaterator - is that still under development for the PSP as well?
