Do you see what I see? There seems to be a very familiar looking portable device in that girl's hands. This photo was taken at Samsung's announcement of new portable hard drive tech. The 60GB version of Samsung's 1.8" N-series drives may end up in a future PSP revision, which should be enough to satiate you with days, if not weeks, of music and games

This reminded me of that poll that Sony sent out about the PSP. They asked if I would buy another one if it had a hard drive or different colors. Naturally, I said yes.
Here's hoping for a blue, 60gb PSP.

Looks like I sold my PSP just in time. I'll lay low for awhile and wait for the hard drive model to hit the markets.

Engadget is (likely mistakenly) pushing this news as evidence of a 'PSP2' - while I think most of us who've been following this rumor since the days of the originating OPM article are figuring on a PSP 'Lite' or similar revision.
I'm not selling my PSP until I see the whites of the next model's eyes, but I do have a feeling we'll be knowing much more about this in January or February. Sony's probably going to sneak it (and price reduction of the older model) up on us like Nintendo did with the Lite.

Well if Samsung is trying to get Sony to buy thier drives here is a ploy for them; can you make an external drive that would work with the psp?? I know the usb port is in slave only but, if they could change that, maybe incorporate the drive in an aluminum case that the psp rides in, or a whole new aftermarket psp body! I'd buy that! 20gbs or better.

that drive would be too big to put in a psp, or the redesigned psp would have to be a lot fatter
heres a pic of the drive:

Well, we don't have the exact specs on that drive - it could be smaller than it looks, there (Asian girls are notorious for making stuff look big).
More importantly, am *I* to big to fit in the girl holding that HD? I'd like to determine that.
