I think it's a waste of time. How are you supposed to hold that thing AND the PSP? It's even worse than balancing a DS with the stylus on othe screen while trying to hit buttons. It's like the article just went half way - without a way of mounting it, the mod seems useless.

And I love the blurb about 'only having 5 games'. Har har. Woo, we haven't heard nearly enough about how the PSP has no games, have we? It's so funnay.

I think a way better and more practical mod is attaching the d-pad that came with Tekken and Street Fighter with velcro (you can also get them at liksang). I've never had issues with the nub, but the d-pad diagonals sure are hard to hit, especially in fighting games. And once you've got it on, it feels like a genesis d-pad.

Wtf.You have to destroy a controller for that,a functional one and those arent that cheap to do such thing like that.Also spend on tools and stuff.Why dont simply buy an Analog Nub replacemnt for 4 bucks?, Thres also 2 analog nubs replacements come with the Datel Ultimate PSP accessories and its a better option that turn your PSP into Frankencrap.

Also the nub is only good for 2 games SF3 and Tekken DR and is not neccesary in tekken since the normal nub works fine.

Nop,thats extremly stupid.If you want to turn your PSP into crap in the name of science theres better reasons and stuff to do that like a mod chip,PSP tv or (insert weird PSP hardware name here) into it,this is just a waste.

I think the concept is not all bad; but pixelator makes a good point on how this is just a half-baked job. I'd like to judge this idea, once we have a bearing on how that analogue will hold up in a mounted form.

Only a few games use the nub? How in the hell am I supposed to compute that statement? Only good for two games? Go out and play Syphon Filter; get yourself a copy of Coded Arms; give Splinter Cell a try; take fuckin' Miami Vice out for a test drive; frag some rebel-scum in Battlefront II. Even a half-wit with dyslexia could count more than two from the aforementioned! JUST TWO GAMES? Give me a fucking break; there's probably even more that one could name. Oh, and as for the faux smart-assery about how one should get a nub replacement; the whole idea behind the above mod, is to avoid the nub-concept as a whole. You see, the person who created this mod probably knows about the four-dollar replacements, but his mod in question is not just about changing how the nub feels, it's also about how it works, which is not exactly the same physics as an analogue stick. However, that's another argument, and personally, I think the nub is actually decent, ONCE you get the hang of it, and of course, with titles where it's calibrated properly.

Well said Kade Storm,Hes probably a little (u no what) that wouldnt no an import shop if it came up and gave him a buissnes card,Tekken once u get used to it its way cool,agreed on syphon aswell emm and GTA,PRO EV,LOCO ROCO,Socom,could go on,And by the way just to place this point.I also own a D.S lite and im telling ya there aint much out for it thats worth the buy,Put this way i own 7 D.S games & 16 PSP games,I must say i do have few early duffers for my PSP but the rest are all highly respected games.My main point is shizt like that just bugs me (the psp only has 2 games lalala) and im sure anyone whos over 18 and owns both handhelds will agree with me.Rahhhhhhhhh s.i.c.k of console bashers.

ok so i did these its hrad to balance it on the psp i can hardly tap the buttons i tried playing it on rpg game the psp messes up when you play
