Everything's connected. At least, according to
Kevin Bacon JJ Abrams Hideo Kojima. And, in order to fully understand the events of the amazing-looking
Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PS3, you'll have to buy yourself a PSP. The two upcoming PSP-exclusive
Metal Gear titles (
Digital Comic 2,
Portable Ops) will establish the story for the next-gen sequel. "We'd like you to definitely play it [the PSP games]," Kojima was quoted saying. "If you change the
Ops story, you have to change
4. If you change
4, it also becomes necessary to change
Ops. Until
Ops is finished,
4's story can't be finalized." We'll all get a taste of the
Guns of the Patriots' storyline when
Portable Ops hits the system in
December.

In agree with 2,control Otacon with the PSP would be sweet.
I think i have read more about this. The PSP is not necesary to finish mgs4,at least if you want the normal ending then the Psp add it a lot of stuff, extra levels endings making a new MGS4.
The best Mgs story using the 3 games will be rated online, the best will be used for MGS5.
This is no BS.

I don't know if it will be released in December. I think December 6 is a default release date.

Anyone remeber talk about otakon being controllable by the PSP(or was it a second contrller at the time?) when the first trailer came out? Could this be kind of what they mean? I would really like to see crossplatform multiplayer between the PS3 and the PSP. I can;t think of any next-gen sequel that is coming out any time soon(Which is really wierd) for the PS3. Anyway, THAT would be SHWEEET! A PSP could litterally, figuratively, litterally kick the PS3's ass
