Do you remember all those incredibly great Memory Stick deals a while back? Well, it looks like a new round may be upon us as Outpost is offering a 4GB SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo for a measly $90 after rebate. And to make the deal even better, there's even an offer for free shipping. Can't beat that. It's amazing how quickly the Memory Sticks are dropping in price since it was only January when the 4GB and 8GB sticks were unveiled. With this rate, the 32MB sticks Sony bundled with the PSP will be virtually worthless, if they aren't already.

Well, the European PSP Value Packs are already coming with 1 gig of memory. Also, here in the Euro using part of Europe, the base pack is 150€, the value pack 200€ and the Giga Pack 250€, so here the price has lowered arround 49.99€ in a year, meaning that probably by October of next year, the PSP will be arround 100€ for the base pack and so on; although probably it's going to stay like it is for porduce cost reasons.
BTW, I'm talking about Belgium, I don't know about other countries.

I would so buy it if I could justify it. I just don't need the space on my PSP though (not into video or music on the thing).

Why spin good news into bad? It's not like there's a shortage with recent sales data.
Would anyone care how dropping prices affect the lower end capacity card 'values'..?? I'm not terribly concerned how much the 32MB card is worth that I got with my imported Value Pack in December 2004... In fact, I don't even know where it is.

Hah hah, you made my point for me.
All I was saying was that because of how cheap higher-capacity Memory Sticks are now, the 32MB stick doesn't havev the same value it did when the PSP launched.
Also, how is that spinning good news to bad? I think it's a good thing for the consumer that the old cards are getting worthless because it means the bigger cards are much more affordable.

I tried selling a 32mb card a while back, I could barely get 10 bucks for it. In fact, people were selling for even less. Its nice to see the prices drop so dramatically, i bought a 2gb two months ago for 40 bucks on ebay. If these trends continue, I will have a 4gb in no time.
