We've been reporting on new homebrew on a nearly daily basis ever since the libtiff exploit was discovered. There are two more games to report about today. First is Penguin Scramble, which has you saving penguins Al Gore style. As with all of these TIFF games, it should be fairly simple to play.
Another addition to the ever-growing collection of TIFF games is Space Invaders. This classic arcade game has you fighting off an incoming alien invasion, and as an episode of Futurama has shown us: the skills you learn from this game can be life-saving.
Finally, we have an application to present to you: Font Hack Installer, which lets you change the fonts used on the XMB screen [screenshot]. While not revolutionary, it's nice to see more inventive ideas coming for users with 2.80 firmware. As always, save the appropriate files to your PSP's PHOTO folder to launch these applications.
[Thanks steve!]

I'm actually very content with the homebrew on the 2.80. It's great to see people making all this software just by utilizing that little exploit.
Hopefully more robust homebrew is made in the near future, that way I won't have to downgrade. :D

so, like Silver, im wondering if these TIFF exploits have the ability to improve. hopefully they can move past these simple games and run things like NES and Genesis games...because that would be great. but does anyone here know if improvement is actually possible?

@mr roboto:
I just took a look at the Space Invader archive and it looks like you can just unRAR it to the root of your PSP. But, you said you can't see folders... If you can see the invader.bin, invader.jpg and loadbinary.tif then just put those three files in the PHOTO directory on your PSP and you should be good to go.

@Jrodliebs and Silver
I'm not the best coder in the world but from looking at the libtiff SDK (released by "Noobz") and it appears that you have access to a large portion of the PSP's functions. So, you can probably expect the libtiff homebrew to get better over the next couple of months.
@mr roboto:
I forgot to mention: Yes I *think* the font hack *might* be able to brick a PSP if something goes wrong. But, I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks Steve. Someone needs to give that man another gold star. I had assumed that it would work with more diverse homebrew, rather than just these little (albeit awesome) games that we've been getting.
And at mr roboto, yes I assume you could brick your PSP since it does mess with your registry. If you don't feel comfortable messing with the registry, steer clear of it.
