We've all been saying "just wait until later in the year when the really good games start coming out for the PSP. Yeah, maybe then the PSP will kick the DS in the nuts."
Well, IGN has done us all a great service and compiled all the best upcoming games set to be released this fall.

There you have it, I've always told myself that when I could list 5 games that I really wanted to play on the PSP, I'd head out and buy one. These are quality games which should all work as great portable games. This is what a decent gaming systems lineup looks like. Congrats Sony, you may be back on track.......

Yeah, but how many of those same games will be on the DS too? WWE, Legos and Justice League just jumped off the list at me, maybe more of them will be on both systems. In that case, for cheaper costs, there will likely be only version of the game that's slightly different for the ports. With that in mind, it would be cost ineffective for manufacturers to develop the PSP versions to highlight the better graphics for the PSP edition especially since for games the DS has a better marketshare for that demographic of games. With the same games that are realtively on par with each other visually on different systems, the better specs of the PSP are essentially a non issue. Maybe from that list there are two new games that will be the killer apps that are needed, but by that time there will be more killer apps released for the DS.
