So, you know that "video podcasts" are the big new thing about this new firmware. But what are they? How do they worK? Sony has provided a pretty clear website that you can browse on your PSP. It even includes a sample RSS feed from which you can download music and videos from. Try using the website to get a good feel for it. Visit the following URL:
http://www.playstation.com/manual/psp/rss/en/index.htmlThen, if you'd like to add more video podcasts, visit the
ultimate collection of video podcasts story.

It's not a video podcast (but maybe Brian would consider one?!), but I'd recommend any PSP owner to head on over the Coverville http://coverville.com
The show is all cover songs and is very very cool and hugely enjoyable. Brian Ibbott, the host, is somewhat of an uber podcaster and is regarded as being among the very best in the podcasting world, but is also very friendly and down to earth.
He produces between 2 and 5 podcasts a week of up to 50 minutes (great sound quality) including "cover stories" with covers of a single artist, or sometimes even a whole album, done in covers - he recently did this with Dark Side Of The Moon. I can't recommend his podcasts enough.

A very nice podcast based on technology: CommandN.
Here are the directions.
1) Turn on your PSP, download 2.8, and go into the internet browser.
2) Type in http://www.commandn.tv in the browser. It is not formatted for your browser--but everything should appear as long as you have enough memory.
3) Scroll down a little bit and hit RSS-iPOD and the PSP should direct you to either download the feed or not.
4) Download to your PSP and enjoy!
The reason that you cannot do this from your PSP is because commandN uses something called FeedBurner that doesn't provide direct links, unfortunately. This vodcast is very informative and gives you the news, tech tips, and a little bit of humor. Very interesting vodcast. Updated every Monday (unless there's a holiday in Canada on that day)

Hey I've been wondering this for a while now, and maybe someone has an answer because I don't... but why do so many sites offer video for the PSP (Apple trailers, psp.connect.com, etc.) but they are always in .zip format? We have a web browser and Wifi on the PSP, why can't we just download it straight from our handheld?? Posting a .MP4 and a .THM file isn't exactly that much more difficult in my opinion... I haven't really seen anyone address this.
First post, please be kind.

Why do they download, why can't it just buffer and then stream the video, like locationFree
