- Bleach: Heat the Soul 3
The insanely popular Bleach anime series gets a third fighter for the PSP. It received a 28/40 in Weekly Famitsu. - Bomberman Portable
It's Bomberman. Does it need any more explanation? And with Game Sharing, you can play with one UMD. It got a 26/40 in Weekly Famitsu. - Portable Island: Te no Hira no Resort
This is a ridiculously boring "game" that has you having all the fun of being stuck on a deserted island. - Ultraman Fightman Evolution 0
Ultraman is still around in Japan for some reason. If you like men in tights fighting each other, you'll want to pick this up. It got a 25/40 in Weekly Famitsu.

Has anyone here tried any of the Japanese games? Are any of them really worth buying?

I wouldn't take Famitsu scores of PSP games too seriously... They've been rating just about anything for the DS higher than just about anything for the PSP (Famitsu, Famicom, you get the idea). The day any PSP game ranks higher than 30 from them, you know it's good.
Bomberman rules all.

Unfortunately, it seems like Bomberman on PSP has a lot of problems. Just cuz its on the PSP doesn't mean it'll be good.

all but two of my games are japanese, and then several are dual releases that i picked up the japanese version of.
japan is big on simulators, like densha and jet de go (train and jet) reisha (tank) and a game i havent been able to figure out the kanji for thats a WWII aviation sim.
and the japanese is a little off on your introduction. you translated it to "japan shall we play a video game"
"NIHON NO terebi gemu wo shiyou" (lets play a japanese video game)
