Last week we announced PSP Fanboy's first contest. Your mission was to redesign the PSP to make it better, stronger, faster.
We've received some great entires (a sneek peek at an early fave is above), but we've been asked to grant our aspiring Fanboy design community a bit of an extention. And who are we to say no?
Entries are now due in by midnight next Sunday. That's a full extra week, so we're expecting great things. Don't forget that the winner will be rewarded for their efforts with much fame and glory as well as a copy of Archer MacLean's Mercury.
There can be only one!

UGLY!
The PSP looks great now...
the biggest problem is that it doesnt have built in screen protection
The game controller look is just ugly.

Doesn't look bad, but either its got a really small screen (comparitively), or that thing is really big.
Of course, he remembered the home button. I have no clue how I managed to leave it off mine! :P

Dear god no, your comment makes me think you are a 13 year old child that doesn't know good design if it slapped you in the face. It's far too big and '3rd-party gamepad' like, the psp now is great....
If they were to make 2nd generation PSP i think it would be thinner, more powerful battery, better screen (even though it is fantastic atm) more stable power switch (feels like it will break any minute) and perhaps a touch screen. It should remain in the roughly the same layout and not try to copy ds and iriver by being flip or fold console. Scratch resistant screen cover!!

Looks like the Sega Saturn Controller with a 16:9 screen. How very unimpressive.
