[UPDATE:] Contrary to our initial suggestion, the 2.6 exploit will not work with ISO loaders ("ripped UMDs") due to limited kernel access. We apologize for the misstep. As punishment, our errant blogger has been flogged and made to watch the entire first season of "Yes, Dear."

Lordoba is incorrect. You STILL need GTA to load the gamesave. This will NOT work without a UMD copy of GTA. The price of one game is a small one to pay for Homebrew on your 2.1 + systems. I'm shocked someone like Gameshark or one of the cheater companies don't come out with a program to purchase that exposes the save flaw.

Ripped UMDs? You mean the loader supports ISO loaders?

sorry, due to the lack of info i could find on actually using the GTA exploit , I assumed that you only needed the savestate. So now i'm confused, do you actually need to have the GTA UMD inside the PSP each time you want to luanch homebrew? If so, then having to rent the game each time you wanted to play homebrew would kinda suck :P
