We gamers are no stranger to the viral marketing
scene, especially all that tactical graffiti from Sony. Well, after they admitted to hiring artists to paint up these "legally
licensed walls," someone high on the NYC totem pole had something to say about it.That someone is Peter Vallone Jr., a Queens Councilman who wants Sony to get rid of the urban nomad-targeted ads and make an oh-so generous donation to the city's anti-graffiti program. How generous, you ask? A donation in the ripe figure of $20,000.

$20,000 a ripe figure? Some executive at Sony just wasted that in his salary reading this article. :) They'll pay it. That's pocketchange for them.

I don't see why they should pay. You rented the wall space legally.

It doesn't matter is Sony has the money or not. This politician is attempting to blackmail a company into giving money for advertiding in a completely legal way. I can't consider myself a Sony fan in the slightest, but this pisses me off.

Aww, now that is a load of crap. If Sony legally licensed the wall space they shouldn't be required to clean the walls or pay ANY fine. Dirty politicians and lawyers...
